Speaker 1: Hockey is back, baby, and boy are we about to
Speaker 1: get a whole lot of it.
Speaker 2: And lucky for us, Boston Bruins have started the season
Speaker 2: with a bang, showing us an unexpected level of unity, perseverance,
Speaker 2: and high energy playmaking, making the first two games of
Speaker 2: the season highly entertaining. But can the Bees maintain this
Speaker 2: pace with a concentrated schedule over the next four months.
Speaker 2: This is a Bruins tape to tape snapshot.
Speaker 3: Our Boston Bruins have turned the page and started the
Speaker 3: twenty twenty five twenty twenty six season with a new
Speaker 3: coach and a relatively new roster. While I won't say
Speaker 3: that it's an improved roster, I will say that after
Speaker 3: the first two games, they seemingly are all on the
Speaker 3: same page, working together for one common goal, which is
Speaker 3: very refreshing in my opinion. The Bruins started off the
Speaker 3: season beating the Washington Capitals on the Capitol's turf in
Speaker 3: what I would call a solid team victory. Up and
Speaker 3: down the roster, the special teams and the goaltending is
Speaker 3: what won the game for the Boston Bruins. While it
Speaker 3: wasn't ideal to give the Washington Capitals five power play opportunities.
Speaker 3: They were perfect on the night in the penalty kill
Speaker 3: and lo and behold, the Bruins scored a power play goal.
Speaker 3: Thank you, Elias Lindholme.
Speaker 2: Lindholm was fantastic over the course of two games. He
Speaker 2: has won twenty four of thirty five face offs. He's
Speaker 2: been where he needs to be to support Pasta and
Speaker 2: to quote friend of the Pod MF, this is the
Speaker 2: Lindholm we thought we were getting last season. Yes, it's early,
Speaker 2: but these early glimpses are a site to behold.
Speaker 4: The Bruins home opener, While it wasn't as fluid as
Speaker 4: the game against the Capitals, they did persevere, they did
Speaker 4: grind it out, they didn't give up, and they won
Speaker 4: the game in overtime on a beautiful goal by Fraser
Speaker 4: Mitton Welcome to Boston Bruins Hockey, young man, and some
Speaker 4: key saves in that overtime period by Jonis Corposalo. While
Speaker 4: I'm not going to go out on a limb and
Speaker 4: say that this is an eighty two game pace that
Speaker 4: the Bruins can maintain, I'm very, very optimistic at this
Speaker 4: point in time.
Speaker 3: Although it is early. The only damper on the two
Speaker 3: and zero start. Is the fact that campus Lindholm left
Speaker 3: the game against the Blackhawks in the first period and
Speaker 3: was nowhere to be found for the remainder of the game.
Speaker 3: It appears to be being downplayed by the Boston Bruins
Speaker 3: in terms of precautionary lower body injury not related to
Speaker 3: the knee. I'm hopeful that that is in fact the case,
Speaker 3: but we can ill afford to have Lindholm out for
Speaker 3: any extended period of time, as he is going to
Speaker 3: be a key component to the Bruins' success this season.
Speaker 1: I agree the Chicago game was more of a roller
Speaker 1: coaster than I would have liked. A few bad habits
Speaker 1: still manage to rear their ugly heads, odd man rush
Speaker 1: breakdowns in some sloppy passes, and the occasional bad transition.
Speaker 1: We also saw our quote unquote favorite problem giving up
Speaker 1: a goal right after gaining a critical lead. However, they
Speaker 1: were shooting the puck a lot, the power play was active,
Speaker 1: they had great zone entries for the most part, and
Speaker 1: managed to keep it in. I think we can all
Speaker 1: agree that we'd like to see a more decisive win
Speaker 1: over the Bruins' next opponent, the Buffalo Sabers. The Sabers
Speaker 1: come to Boston on Saturday, October eleventh as part of
Speaker 1: the NHL's Frozen Frenzy Spectacular. It's no brainer that the
Speaker 1: Bruins should beat the Sabers, because well, they're the Sabers.
Speaker 1: They're coming off of a loss in their season slash
Speaker 1: home opener against the Rangers back on October ninth. Like
Speaker 1: many teams, Buffalo has also been bitten early by the
Speaker 1: injury bug, with Zach Benson taking a puck to the
Speaker 1: face in practice and Josh Norris going down in their
Speaker 1: first game, and their starting goalie Ukapec Glucanen has been
Speaker 1: out since before the season even started with a lower
Speaker 1: body injury that has actually resulted in Buffalo putting him
Speaker 1: formally on ir. Alex Lyon is expected in net again.
Speaker 1: It's only been one game for the netminder, but in
Speaker 1: spite of his three goals against average, he still managed
Speaker 1: to point nine zero six safe percentage in the tilt
Speaker 1: against the Rangers. Swayman will be in between the pipes
Speaker 1: where we hope to see him be everywhere he needs
Speaker 1: to be, just like he was in Washington. It's refreshing
Speaker 1: to see a team that is seemingly coming together really
Speaker 1: well so early in the year, and so far, the
Speaker 1: attitude and effort on the ice after two games is
Speaker 1: nearly the same as what we saw in preseason. Let's
Speaker 1: hope they can survive the grueling thirteen games over twenty
Speaker 1: one days schedule. Make sure you rate and review the
