0:52 Speaker 2: Bruins played the New York Islanders on Tuesday evening at

0:57 Speaker 2: the TD Garden, and even though the first period started

1:01 Speaker 2: off as poorly as you could have predicted that it

1:04 Speaker 2: would start off, with the Bruins down two to nothing,

1:08 Speaker 2: and the Islanders scored on their very first shot of

1:11 Speaker 2: the game. Even though the Bruins started that game on

1:16 Speaker 2: time and with relatively good jump and offensive firepower. Unfortunately,

1:23 Speaker 2: that was not to be. In the first period, they

1:26 Speaker 2: couldn't maintain any type of pace of play. They weren't

1:31 Speaker 2: able to generate any offense, and one thought to oneself

1:35 Speaker 2: in watching that game, here we flip and go again.

1:39 Speaker 2: Are we going to do this again against another team

1:42 Speaker 2: that you should be able to beat. I don't know

1:46 Speaker 2: what was said in between the first and second period

1:49 Speaker 2: and who said it, but whatever occurred between that period,

1:54 Speaker 2: the Bruins came out looking like a totally different team.

1:58 Speaker 2: In the second period, they scored three unanswered goal, one

2:01 Speaker 2: of which came on the power play by Elias Lindholme,

2:05 Speaker 2: and he has only scored power play goals, but we'll

2:09 Speaker 2: take the goals as we get them. David Pasternach and

2:12 Speaker 2: Mikey Isimont added to the Bruins lead, so they went

2:16 Speaker 2: in to the third period with a three to two lead.

2:20 Speaker 2: They added goals in the third period to seal the deal,

2:25 Speaker 2: goal by Morgan Geeky, who has been on fire of late,

2:30 Speaker 2: and Fraser Mitton. So all in all, it was a

2:34 Speaker 2: much needed two points and a much needed boost in

2:38 Speaker 2: confidence for the Boston Bruins. This game also saw the

2:42 Speaker 2: return of Hampus lind Home, and although he had a

2:45 Speaker 2: bit of a rocky start in his first couple of shifts,

2:50 Speaker 2: he seemed to get better and better as the game

2:53 Speaker 2: went along. And I think we can all see now

2:55 Speaker 2: why it is that is it's so important for Hampus

2:59 Speaker 2: to be the stallworth back on defense for this team.

3:03 Speaker 2: In addition, this game had Mason Laurai sitting on the

3:07 Speaker 2: eighth and ninth floor wherever they had him sitting watching

3:10 Speaker 2: the game, and that, for me, is a good move.

3:14 Speaker 2: As far as I'm concerned by the coaching staff, I

3:17 Speaker 2: think he needs to take a breather watch what's happening.

3:20 Speaker 2: I don't know if he is struggling along with many

3:23 Speaker 2: other players and picking up this new defensive structure, but

3:28 Speaker 2: it was time for him to take a break, so

3:31 Speaker 2: to speak. All in all, a good effort by the

3:34 Speaker 2: Boston Bruins. Two points. Now. The million dollar question is

3:39 Speaker 2: can they continue building on this. I don't know the

3:44 Speaker 2: answer to that question, but I'm hoping that they are

3:47 Speaker 2: going to put all of their effort in into making

3:52 Speaker 2: it a more consistent showing for themselves and for our

3:57 Speaker 2: fan Base.

3:58 Speaker 1: Boston is back in action on Thursday, October thirtieth against

4:01 Speaker 1: the Sabers. This is already their second matchup and much

4:05 Speaker 1: has changed since they first played on October eleventh. Both

4:09 Speaker 1: teams have become more similar in their stat lines, with

4:12 Speaker 1: Buffalo finally nabbing four wins to find themselves in sixth

4:16 Speaker 1: place in the division to Boston's eighth. The Bruins are

4:20 Speaker 1: in no position to poo pooh this Sabers team. Tyson Kozak,

4:24 Speaker 1: Joshua Dunn, and Jason Zucker have started to make themselves

4:27 Speaker 1: known on this cellar dwelling team, so the Bruins' leaky

4:31 Speaker 1: defense is going to have to make sure that these

4:34 Speaker 1: three skaters are neutralized at every opportunity. Alex Lyon has

4:38 Speaker 1: been carrying this team, starting eight games while Ukapeka Lucanin

4:42 Speaker 1: made his return for the sword Cows on the twenty fifth,

4:46 Speaker 1: and it was not a great return. At this point,

4:49 Speaker 1: it seems that the starter job is lions to lose.

4:52 Speaker 1: He's holding on to a decent two point seventy seven

4:54 Speaker 1: goals against average and a nine to nineteen save percentage,

4:58 Speaker 1: and he's definitely underpaid on this team. Swayman had a

5:02 Speaker 1: rough outing in Ottawa, a team that has had his

5:04 Speaker 1: number for quite a while, and that seven to two

5:07 Speaker 1: loss did some damage to his stats, pushing him up

5:10 Speaker 1: to a three point one point one goals against average

5:13 Speaker 1: and lowering his save percentage down to an eight ninety two.
