Another Day, Another L for the Boston Bruins | Snap Shots Episode 43
Liner notes
🎙️Another day, another blowout loss—this time to the Anaheim Ducks. The Bruins are fielding what feels like an AHL squad, skating with zero emotion, zero pride, and zero hope. With the playoff dream slipping away and the product on the ice becoming borderline unwatchable, fans are left asking: is this still worth watching? The only thing left on the horizon is the lottery draft—and maybe the chance for Ovechkin to break the all-time goal record in our own building. As the team prepares for Detroit and another young, hungry opponent, this season feels like it’s spiraling into something far worse than a slump: a full-scale collapse.📲 Follow us on X, Instagram & Blue Sky ➡️ @TapetoTapeMK

Speaker 1: You may ask yourself, will we ever see another Boston
Speaker 1: Bruins victory, particularly one that doesn't happen by accident? Maybe,
Speaker 1: but when your team isn't having any fun out there
Speaker 1: and is comprised of a lot of ahl players, it's
Speaker 1: gonna take a while. Hang in there, friends, this is
Speaker 1: a Bruins tape to tape snapshot.
Speaker 2: The Boston Bruins dropped another game during their West Coast
Speaker 2: trip on Wednesday night, iiO of all teams, the Anaheim Ducks,
Speaker 2: losing by a score of six to two. In talking
Speaker 2: to a friend and co worker of mine, I said
Speaker 2: to him, how am I supposed to do a snapshot
Speaker 2: anymore for these games for our Boston Bruins And his
Speaker 2: response was just simply asked the question are you good
Speaker 2: with watching these games? Because I'm all set? And he
Speaker 2: is absolute lutely right. So thank you Stewie for that
Speaker 2: lead in how can we continue to watch these games
Speaker 2: and watch the team just fall further and further behind
Speaker 2: in the standings and in their progress. The only silver
Speaker 2: lining which we talked about during our recent podcast is
Speaker 2: the fact that we will have some semblance of excitement
Speaker 2: during the lottery draft that will be held either on
Speaker 2: May fifth or May sixth. In the meantime, this has
Speaker 2: become a team and a product that is virtually unwatchable.
Speaker 2: It is becoming an embarrassment to the team and to
Speaker 2: the players that are pulling that spoke to Bee Jersey
Speaker 2: on over their heads. There seems to be very little
Speaker 2: emotion pride in taking the ice for these games, and
Speaker 2: other than perhaps the players who are somewhat auditioning to
Speaker 2: be a future part of this team, I believe in
Speaker 2: my heart of hearts that players have literally checked out
Speaker 2: on the season. The one additional thing that we may
Speaker 2: have to look forward to as Bruins fans and core
Speaker 2: traditional hockey fans is the fact that with the Washington
Speaker 2: Capitals coming to the Ted Garden on April second, there
Speaker 2: is a real chance that Alex Ovechkin could break Wayne
Speaker 2: Gretzky's all time goal scoring record in our house, and
Speaker 2: as a hockey fan, I guess that would be a
Speaker 2: fitting and to the Bruins season.
Speaker 1: Boston is playing Detroit on Saturday, their third and final
Speaker 1: matchup of the season. In spite of their best efforts,
Speaker 1: the Red Wings are unlikely to make the playoffs once again,
Speaker 1: but with a new coach taking on a full season
Speaker 1: with the team their youth and drive, we are likely
Speaker 1: going to see the rise of another divisional challenger. Much
Speaker 1: like the San Jose and Anaheim games. I expect this
Speaker 1: matchup to be between a young team having fun out
Speaker 1: there with minimal pressure and expectations against a team that's
Speaker 1: been decimated and beaten down. Maria is absolutely right that
Speaker 1: this is the opportunity for ahl Bruins players to showcase
Speaker 1: their skills and hope for a spot on the team
Speaker 1: next season. This is also likely the one chance that
Speaker 1: Fabian Licel is going to get to make it onto
Speaker 1: the team. For his sake, I just hope it's not
Speaker 1: too late. In playoff news, the Nashville Predators have become
Speaker 1: the next team to be statistically eliminated for from the
Speaker 1: playoff structure. As we inch closer and closer to April,
Speaker 1: expect more teams to fall away, including the Bruins. They
Speaker 1: currently have the fourth worst goals differential in the league
Speaker 1: at minus fifty, and only four teams separate Boston from
Speaker 1: the eliminated teams in terms of points percentage. If you
Speaker 1: can't stomach the thought of watching another game, tune in

Speaker 1: you informed on the off season and during playoffs too,
