0:12 Speaker 1: Stadium Series between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning.

0:16 Speaker 1: Let's get into it. This is a Bruins tape to

0:19 Speaker 1: tape snapshot.

0:23 Speaker 2: I'm going to make this snapshot short and less than sweet.

0:28 Speaker 2: This is coming to you from Tampa, Florida, where I

0:33 Speaker 2: had the opportunity to attend the stadium series game between

0:38 Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay Lightning and our Boston Bruins, and the

0:41 Speaker 2: Boston Bruins ended up with a loser point after allowing

0:46 Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay Lightning to come back into the game

0:49 Speaker 2: after they had a five to one lead. And I

0:53 Speaker 2: will get to the officiating, which I believe was one

0:56 Speaker 2: of the most egregious and disgusting displays that I have

1:00 Speaker 2: seen the league put forth in quite some time. But

1:03 Speaker 2: let me start with where I think things went off

1:06 Speaker 2: the rails, and I'm going to start with our goalie,

1:10 Speaker 2: Jeremy Swayman. The Bruins had things well in hand in

1:15 Speaker 2: the second period. They had a five to one lead.

1:18 Speaker 2: The Tampa Bay Lightning looked listless and lifeless after scoring

1:23 Speaker 2: on their first shot of the game very quickly into

1:27 Speaker 2: the game. And what does Jeremy Swayman do. He decides

1:31 Speaker 2: that that's a good time to engage with Vassilevski in

1:35 Speaker 2: a goalie fight. Dude, what were you thinking? Now we

1:39 Speaker 2: all know that you have not kept its secret that

1:43 Speaker 2: you have wanted to engage in a goalie fight for

1:45 Speaker 2: quite some time. But to pick that opportunity and allow

1:50 Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay Lightning to gain the momentum that they did,

1:55 Speaker 2: and the pendulum swung in the total opposite Director and Jeremy,

2:01 Speaker 2: that fight blew up in your face, and it blew

2:05 Speaker 2: up in the face of your teammates where you allowed

2:08 Speaker 2: the Tampa Bay Lightning the opportunity to get back in

2:13 Speaker 2: that game. So, between you and the officials, it was

2:18 Speaker 2: a shit show, I'm sorry to say, a total shit show.

2:23 Speaker 2: You got to point, the Bruins got to point out

2:26 Speaker 2: of it, but I would have preferred the two points.

2:30 Speaker 2: And as far as the officiating goes, David Pasternak is

2:35 Speaker 2: absolutely correct. It was a freaking joke. And I knew

2:41 Speaker 2: the minute that the Tampa Bay Lightning went down five

2:45 Speaker 2: to one. I was waiting for when the officials were

2:48 Speaker 2: going to start to feel bad for the Tampa Bay

2:51 Speaker 2: Lightning and start making calls against the Boston Bruins. Well,

2:56 Speaker 2: there you have it, folks. Now, I'm not going to

2:59 Speaker 2: go so far as to say the game was rigged,

3:02 Speaker 2: but I will tell you the people that were sitting

3:05 Speaker 2: in the section of the building that I was in,

3:08 Speaker 2: they were Tampa Bay Lightning fans that turned to me

3:11 Speaker 2: and said, this looks like it might have been a

3:13 Speaker 2: little bit staged and rigged. And I didn't argue with

3:17 Speaker 2: them about that. Be that as it may your team.

3:21 Speaker 2: Our team still allowed Tampa Bay to score four unanswered

3:26 Speaker 2: goals and then ultimately lose it in a shootout. As

3:31 Speaker 2: far as the game day production went, I have been

3:34 Speaker 2: to all of the outdoor games that have involved the

3:37 Speaker 2: Boston Bruins. This by far was the worst game day

3:43 Speaker 2: set up and presentation that I have seen. Not a

3:47 Speaker 2: great job by the NHL with the gamesmanship, the showmanship,

3:53 Speaker 2: and the officiating.

3:54 Speaker 1: Maria is exactly right. The Bruins had complete dominance over

3:59 Speaker 1: the Tampa Bay Lightning for the first thirty minutes of

4:02 Speaker 1: this game. Not only did they have total control, the

4:05 Speaker 1: Bolts straight up looked bad, taking the same kind of

4:09 Speaker 1: lazy penalties we've seen sink the Bees. And Vassilevski was

4:14 Speaker 1: no powerhouse goalie either. He looked about as bad as

4:17 Speaker 1: I have ever seen him. I don't know what was

4:19 Speaker 1: happening down on ice level, but I think it's pretty

4:22 Speaker 1: obvious that the on ice officials were not doing their

4:25 Speaker 1: job of de escalating the situation. And as we who

4:28 Speaker 1: have watched hockey all of our lives know, if you

4:32 Speaker 1: don't take care of that on the ice, the players

4:34 Speaker 1: will take it into their own hands. And clearly the

4:38 Speaker 1: Bruins felt that the on ice officials were not addressing

4:41 Speaker 1: the chirping, pushing and shoving appropriately. I'm not saying that

4:44 Speaker 1: the Bruins didn't deserve some of those penalties in the

4:47 Speaker 1: back half of the game. Some were stupid bad luck,

4:51 Speaker 1: like Swamon's delay of game, puckover glass and Coral's hand

4:54 Speaker 1: on the puck, and some of the players were letting

4:57 Speaker 1: their emotions get the better of them with the push

5:00 Speaker 1: and the shoving. But the blatant lack of calls against

5:04 Speaker 1: Tampa in the final half of the game is what

5:07 Speaker 1: ruined this game for me and countless fans. The holds,

5:12 Speaker 1: the cross checks, interference and more that I didn't see

5:17 Speaker 1: get equally called against Tampa. It was a joke and

5:21 Speaker 1: a top it all off, the referees committed the ultimate sin.

5:26 Speaker 1: They interfered with the result of a game. It is

5:31 Speaker 1: mind boggling to me that the referee at the far

5:34 Speaker 1: end of the ice who witnessed the stick in fraction

5:37 Speaker 1: by Pasta, did not blow his whistle when the Bruins

5:41 Speaker 1: took possession, and only did so after a goal had

5:47 Speaker 1: been scored. It is so inexcusable. I never want to

5:53 Speaker 1: see that person at the NHL level ever again. I

5:56 Speaker 1: don't care who your team is, who you're rooting for.

5:59 Speaker 1: It's a disc disgusting joke and the league needs to

6:02 Speaker 1: address this. I don't think I have ever been so

6:06 Speaker 1: mad at officiating in my life. You can hear us
